Sunapee Recreation Committee Meeting minutes September 8, 2010
7:05pm meeting called to order.
Brian Garland, Leon, Craig Heino, Paul Skarin, Patricia A. Halpin and Scott Blewitt present.
1. Jon Reed was presented as a possible new committee member. He spoke of his experience with track and soccer. He is interested in being a full member.
2. Slate of officers for the coming year was voted in
Chair Paul Skarin, Vice Chair Patricia A. Halpin, Secretary Melissa Eastman
3.Turkey trot update Mindy Flaherty came to the meeting to discuss this year’s race. They are looking for a specific project to target the money. It was decided all net proceeds would go to Dewey Field.
4.New Hampshire Charitable Foundation presented us with a check for $500.00. The donation got approved from the selectman. It will be used to improve Dewey field facilities.
Brian Garland made a motion to purchase a new swing set for Dewey field for $2500.00 ± 500.00.
5. Submitting warrant articles for spring 2011 election was discussed. We will continue the discussion next meeting.
After Jon Reed left we voted him in unanimously as a new full member. Brain made a motion to accept Amy Holowicz as a new alternate member.
